What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are a unique hyaluronic acid-based enhancer that hydrates your skin and gives it a dewy, glowing look. It also offers a subtle, yet impressive change in elasticity and plumpness over time by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

Also commonly known as micro filler, hydra filler or skin hydrators, skin boosters are a very thin version of dermal fillers that help improve dry, dull and crepey skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It is important to note that skin boosters do not fill out deep wrinkles but serve to provide overall facial rejuvenation.

Skin boosters are made of hyaluronic acid, which can hold 1000 times its weight in water. Hence, it can provide long-lasting hydration akin to a semi-permanent moisturiser. This can be administered all over the face, neck and even hands, for healthy-looking skin throughout the year.

How It Works

Skin Boosters predominantly consist of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally-occuring substance in the human body. Once administered, the hyaluronic acid gel attracts and binds with water, therefore hydrating the skin to maintain a supple and healthy appearance.

Skin Booster treatments are usually administered with micro injections at the surface of the skin (with little to no discomfort as numbing cream is applied). We also offer a more advanced version, Skin Booster Plus, which uses a mesotherapy gun to provide an even application over certain sensitive areas.

FAQ - Skin Booster

When will I see results?

You may see some results immediately however the effect builds up gradually and subtly. You will see the full effect of your treatment within 2-4 weeks from the day of your session.

How long will the results last?

The results, which are natural yet noticeable, can last up to 6 months, or longer. Each patient is different, therefore, results will vary.

What is the treatment process?

Hyaluronic acid injections are performed with a micro-puncture technique or meostherapy gun that involves administering very small amounts into the surface of the skin. The hyaluronic acid is distributed evenly and smoothly into the skin, and will start attracting water.

Most of our clients experience little to no discomfort with the use of numbing cream or local anesthetic. Each session can take around 30-45 minutes.

What is the difference between skin boosters and dermal fillers?

Both products are made from hyaluronic acid. However, skin booster, which is considered a sub-type of dermal filler, is designed to hydrate and plump the skin rather than structure or shape facial features.
