Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are a safe, non-invasive treatment which has been designed to replace, or to add facial volume as well as to enhance facial contours whilst in turn restoring fullness and improving the hydration levels within the skin. It is used to help reverse the signs of aging, by filling out and smoothing out your fine lines and wrinkles.

Treatment

Dermal fillers can be administered in areas to soften the lines and wrinkles that have been already formed such as nose to mouth lines (nasolabial folds) or lines around the mouth (perioral lines and oral commissures), or to add facial volume to areas such as the nose, chin, cheek, lip, forehead and temporal areas to shape facial contours. Dermal fillers also help to revitalize the skin and its complexion by correcting acne scars, at the back of the hands or even neck and décolletage areas.

FAQ

When will I see results?

You may see some results immediately however there may be some swelling which may last for a few days. You will see the full effect of your treatment within 2 weeks from the day of your treatment.

How long will the results last?

Depending on the product used the results can last anywhere between 6 to 18 months. Each patient is different, therefore, results will vary.

What is the treatment process?

Dermal filler injections are administered by using a very fine needle which some describe as the sensation of small pin-prick or mosquito sting. It works by injecting hyaluronic acid into the mid to deep dermis of the skin. Once injected, the hyaluronic acid substance occupies space and absorbs the soft tissue fluid found in the human body. They then expand and act as a gelatin in the soft tissue, & within the fine lines and wrinkles. This provides correction and volume to the facial structure and shape, where the dermal fillers have been injected.

During the treatment you may feel minor discomfort. Most dermal fillers have a local anaesthetic (0.3% lidocaine) included in the product, therefore, this will provide you with a more comfortable and pain free experience. Each session can take around 15-45 minutes.

What is the difference between Skinbooster and dermal fillers?

Both products are made from hyaluronic acid, however Skinbooster is designed to hydrate and plump, but does not structure or shape the skin. Dermal fillers are designed to shape and proportion the face by enhancing your facial features.
