Dermal fillers predominantly consist of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally-occuring substance in the human body. Once administered, the hyaluronic acid will provide volume by occupying space and absorbing surrounding soft tissue fluids. This helps to enhance facial features, restore fullness and volume, and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

You may see some results immediately however there may be some swelling which may last for a few days. You will see the full effect of your treatment within 2 weeks from the day of your treatment.
Depending on the product used the results can last anywhere between 6 to 18 months. Each patient is different, therefore, results will vary.
Dermal filler injections are administered by using a very fine needle which some describe as the sensation of small pin-prick or mosquito sting. It works by injecting hyaluronic acid into the mid to deep dermis of the skin. Once injected, the hyaluronic acid substance occupies space and absorbs the soft tissue fluid found in the human body.
During the treatment you may feel minor discomfort, but most of our clients experience little to no pain at all. This is because most dermal fillers have a local anaesthetic (0.3% lidocaine) included in the product, and we often administer additional local anesthetic. Each session can take around 15-45 minutes.
Both products are made from hyaluronic acid. However, skin booster, which is considered a sub-type of dermal filler, is designed to hydrate and plump the skin rather than structure or shape facial features.
