There are two different types of threads: Mono Threads and Long Threads.

Our TGA-approved PDO Mono Threads are introduced into the skin to activate collagen synthesis which helps tighten and rejuvenate ageing skin. Mono threads are usually smaller in size and suited for those who have mild to moderate lines and wrinkles.

Thread face lift treatment or long threads on the other hand can lift sagging skin on your face and neck by introducing soft suture threads into the skin tissue to hold it in place and achieve the desired lift effect. Your body will also start to generate new bundles of collagen surrounding the threads, producing firmer and younger looking skin. As this is a mechanical pull, results can be seen immediately and will continue to improve as the threads dissolve.

When will I see results?

Depending on the type and number of threads inserted, you will observe a lifting effect almost immediately after treatment. Results will be obvious after 2-3 months and will continue to improve as the threads dissolve over 12 months.

How long will the results last?

Results are known to last 2-3 years but may vary from patient to patient due to the ageing process.

What is the treatment process?

The PDO thread rejuvenation treatment should take no longer than 20-30 minutes in total. Depending on the lifting effect you would like to achieve, multiple threads will be strategically placed into your skin using sterile acupuncture needles. The threads will act as a frame for new collagen and will lift sagging tissue. There will only be injections and no incisions for this procedure.

Is this treatment painful?

Is there any downtime?
