What is Bio-Remodelling Injections?

Bio-remodelling filler is a popular injectable treatment recognised for its ability to lift, rejuvenate and hydrate the skin with natural-looking results. This product is made from hyaluronic acid, naturally found in the skin, whose primary function is to maintain skin elasticity and hydration.

This treatment differs from other injectables, such as dermal filler, since this bio-remodelling filler is not used to add volume to the skin, but rather, it is utilised to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

As time goes by, our bodies generate less collagen and elastin, which may result in sagging skin and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In this case, the bio-remodelling filler is applied to foment the production of these proteins. Consequently, this product can help to restore the skin’s natural structure and elasticity, leading to a more youthful and hydrated appearance.

One of the main advantages of this bio-remodelling filler is that it is able to be used to treat a wide range of skin concerns, including sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. It is particularly effective at improving the texture and tone of the skin, and it can be used on the face, neck, and décolletage.

Benefits

Hydration: It contains the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market, and as a result, it helps hydrate the skin and improve the overall appearance.

Wrinkle Reduction: When the collagen and elastin proteins are stimulated by this bio-remodelling filler may help the reduction of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Non-Surgical Treatment: This product is a non-surgical treatment meaning that a doctor would inject it, and most people, after the treatment, can return to their normal activities immediately.

Improved Skin Texture and Elasticity: Elastin helps the skin to preserve its shape and elasticity while Collagen is a protein that gives structure and support to the skin. When incrementing the production of these proteins, this treatment can help to improve the overall texture and elasticity of the skin.

How it works

When injecting the bio-remodelling filler, it works by triggering the body’s natural healing response. This response includes the production of new collagen and elastin, which helps to strengthen and tighten the skin. The treatment is also able to stimulate the production of other key skin components, such as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which help to keep the skin hydrated and plump.

During your complimentary consultation at one of our professional skin clinics, our cosmetic doctor or nurse will be able to advise you on the dosage and treatment process to help you achieve a natural look.

The treatment is concise. The injections are usually given at five specific points over a skin area that needs treatment, and the process takes under 30 minutes to complete. This is a new and improved technique that results in a faster and more comfortable procedure experience for the patient.

The area that is more prone to signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of elasticity, which is the face can benefit from the skin-rejuvenating effects of this product.

FAQ - Bio-remodelling fillers
Who is a good candidate for Bio-Remodelling Injections?

The bio-remodelling treatment is suitable for most people who are looking to improve the overall quality and appearance of their skin. It is particularly useful for individuals who are experiencing signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of elasticity. It is not suitable for people with severe skin laxity or who are seeking a more dramatic improvement in their appearance.

Is Bio-Remodelling Injection a new treatment?

Bio-Remodelling Injection was launched in February 2015 in Italy. Today Bio-Remodelling Injection is available in over 80 countries worldwide. Since 2015 over 4.5 million treatments have been performed.

Is Bio-Remodelling Injection painful?

Some people may experience mild discomfort during the treatment, but it is generally well tolerated. Our healthcare provider may apply numbing cream to the injection sites to minimize any discomfort.

How many Bio-Remodelling Injection treatments do I need?

Initially we recommend 2 sessions, 1 month apart. Some patients may require 3 sessions. Results can last about 6 months. To maintain the best results, the treatment can be carried out twice a year. The number of sessions required depends on severity of ageing. This will be discussed with you during your consultation.

How long does Bio-Remodelling Injection take?

This treatment usually takes about 30-45 minutes to complete.

How long do the Bio-Remodelling Injection results last?

The effects of the bio-remodelling treatment can last for several months, although the exact duration may vary from person to person. Some people may need to have maintenance treatments to maintain their results.

When do I see results?

Over a period of 3 – 4 weeks, Bio-Remodelling Injection kick starts the production of elastin, re-modelling the skin tissue and giving it a plumper and tighter look. Bio-Remodelling Injection ‘remodels’ the skin after just 2 treatments (4 weeks apart) resulting in tighter, firmer, hydrated, smoother, radiant skin. Sometimes further treatments are required to see the full benefit of Bio-Remodelling Injection. Generally, this would be determined during your initial consultation. We may then recommend maintenance sessions, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.

What is the recovery time after Bio-Remodelling Injection treatment?

There is no downtime associated with this treatment, so you can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment. Some people may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects should resolve within a few days.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with the treatment?

The bio-remodelling treatment is generally safe and well tolerated. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some potential risks and side effects to be aware of. At Skintech, our healthcare providers will provide more information on this to you during your consultation before embarking on your treatment.

Does Bio-Remodelling Injection help with saggy skin?

Yes. Once injected into the correct layer of the skin, Bio-Remodelling Injection flows and spreads to other parts of the face or skin, providing a very nice stretch and tightening to the saggy skin. It is also capable of stimulating our skin to produce all four types of collagen and elastin (the vital substances which are lost from the skin as we age) thereby further improving the skin elasticity and skin quality.

What is the difference between Bio-Remodelling Injection and Fillers?

Even though Bio-Remodelling Injection is hyaluronic acid (HA), it is not a dermal or volumizing filler. While traditional fillers are intended to add volume and replace volume loss in the face (e.g. to give you apple cheeks or a well-defined jawline and pointed chin) Bio-Remodelling Injection acts to deeply hydrate the skin, improve skin elasticity and quality and improve skin laxity. Even though Bio-Remodelling Injection is a HA, it is not a filler. It cannot replace volume loss or augment various parts of the face such as the cheek or tear trough which has started to lose collagen.

What is the difference between Bio-Remodelling Injection and Skinboosters?

Bio-Remodelling Injection differs from other skinboosters for a number of reasons. From a characteristics position, it is almost a liquid (honey like consistency) and able to flow from one part to the next easily. From a patient’s perspective, this translates to an easy treatment with minimal injection points, less discomfort and almost no downtime. Whilst traditional skinboosters provide deep skin hydration, Bio-Remodelling Injection is best-described as a biological remodelling agent which counteracts skin laxity of the face and in areas traditionally difficult to treat, such as the neck, hands and arms.

How can I prepare for my treatment?

It is advisable to avoid alcohol, aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication in the 24 hours
before treatment.
Avoid chemical peels and laser 2 weeks prior to treatment of the same area.
On the day of your treatment, do not use makeup on the area to be treated.

What is the Bio-Remodelling Injection aftercare?

Immediately after treatment you should avoid wearing make-up for 12 hours.
Give sports, swimming and any other strenuous physical activity a miss for 48 hours. It is also best to avoid saunas and steam rooms for a few days after treatment.

You are advised to avoid alcohol for 48 hours.
Any bruising may take a few days to appear. Arnica or hirudoid cream can be helpful in
clearing bruising. It is advisable to avoid aspirin for 12-48 hours after treatment.
Tenderness should settle as swelling and bruising goes down.

The following should be avoided at least 2 weeks post treatment:
Direct ultraviolet light exposure (sun and solariums)
Further clinical treatments (including, but not limited to): microdermabrasion, laser, intense pulsed light, chemical peels, muscle relaxant injections, and dermal fillers.

Can I use Bio-Remodelling Injection with other cosmetic treatments?

Bio-Remodelling Injection can be used as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with other fillers to replace volume loss, hydrate and tighten skin. Bio-Remodelling Injection can also complement laser treatments or botulinum toxins to get an even better result.
